The knockout semi final too place at Blacktown Olympic Park on Sunday, the 2008 Premiers against the reigning Premiers, coming in to the finals both teams had a win against each other during the regular season and both times quite convincingly, this time a Preliminary Final berth was on the line.
Pennant Hills began strong going in to the first quarter ahead by 4 goals, the Eagles looked out of sorts but as is with all good sides they clawed there way back scoring 6 goals to nil going in to the main break. The next quarter was very tight and there was only 3 points in it in favour of the Demons going in to the final quarter, the lead see sawed and with just a few minutes left both sides had the lead, 2 quick goals from the Eagles put them ahead and thats where they stayed, the demons obviously devastated to end their season in such a fashion but that is sport.
The Eagles now face the Magpies in the Preliminary Final next week. EAST COAST EAGLES (12.5-77)
PENNANT HILLS (10.12-72)
