This fixture was rescheduled due to Ern Holmes being unplayable due to the wet weather in sydney of late. This must have played on the minds of the Demons as they struggled to get any momentum in the first half. In my brief time watching the dockers (Balmain) play they havent been the most organised side today however was a different story, scoring the first goal and setting the pace the entire day saw them defeat the current premiers, it has to be the Dockers best win for many years and the team celebrated their victory after the game.

What i thought would be the clash of the weekend turned out to be quite the opposte with the Magpies handing it to the UNSW Bulldogs by 12 goals, the Bulldogs showed moments of brilliants but it didnt last for long showing in the end result.

A wet afternoon saw the Eagles play host to the Uni Students at Bruce Purser Oval, as per nearly every fixture this season the Eagles where strong from the outset and played a strong game throughout winning in the end by 10 goals and only allowing Uni to put 26 runs on the board.

The Eagles played host to the St George Dragons today at Bruce Purser Oval, a beautiful day weather wise was not so beautiful for the Dragons, having covered the round 4 clash vs the UNSW team i had high hopes for a tight game however the Eagles where just to strong lead buy their forward Gus who i am sure scored atleast 8 goals, the end result was 20 goals difference putting the Eagles firmly on top of the ladder.

In what felt like a very scrappy game the Western Suburbs Magpies took the win against the Sydney University Students, i didnt get the breakdown but the end result was 137 to 71.

Today saw St George take on UNSW at Olds Park, St George put on a great game I must say taking it right to the Bulldogs from the outset, at one point they led the game by 3 or 4 goals, the 4th quarter however UNSW turned the tables, St Geroge looked rather flat and made a few mistakes which saw them loose the lead and go 4 goals down, 2 late goals saw them bring back the margin to a closer score line.
